The MAPS Air Museum seeks to preserve, honor, and educate visitors about aviation history and its impact on our lives. As the largest aviation museum in Greater Cleveland, MAPS displays various aircraft from the First World War to today. Visitors to the museum will explore the significant milestones achieved in aviation history, ranging from the Wright Brothers’ first flight in 1903 to the jet age and beyond. At the MAPS Air Museum, visitors can explore the many aircraft used throughout history. There is a diverse array of aircraft, ranging from the iconic Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, used by the U.S. Air Force in World War I and II, to the Cold War-era Boeing B-52 Stratofortress. The B-52 served as the primary heavy bomber of the U.S. Air Force and flew combat missions during the Vietnam War.


Additionally, visitors can examine a variety of vintage aircraft, such as the Allied Forces’ F-86 Sabrejet, a Korean War-era fighter jet, and the multi-purpose transport aircraft known as the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Among the many aircraft currently owned by the MAPS Air Museum currently owns are the Vietnam War-era UH-1 'Huey helicopter and a modern fighter jet, the F-35 Lightening II.
