The Mustill Store Museum: A Jewel in the Cascade Locks Park Association in Akron, Ohio
The Cascade Locks Park Association is a non-profit organization that owns and maintains the Cascade locks at their museum. The Cascade Locks are the only ones of this type remaining on an operational canal system today! One of their many projects includes the ongoing restoration of the Mustill Store Museum in Akron, Ohio which has been designated as a historic landmark by Cascade Locks Foundation. The Cascade Locks Park Association works with other organizations and volunteers to make this project possible. This small building was first opened as a general store by Joseph and Emma Mustill over 100 years ago. It still sells many of the same items from those early days, such as stamps and candy. The Cascade Locks Park Association also hosts summer camps, an annual festival with games and food, and more activities throughout the year.

They have guided tours through the museum as well as open houses where you can learn more about this building's history of being used during both WWI and WWII!
